About us

Philippa Pownall opened Remuera Osteopaths in 2008 after working as an osteopath in other practices. Philippa graduated in 2006 with a Bachelors and Masters degree from Unitec. She has a strong background as a massage practitioner, with a particular focus on sports massage and performance. Prior to studying osteopathy, Philippa completed a Bachelor of Sports Science at Auckland University. Philippa also has a keen interest in women’s health and is passionate about working with women during their pregnancy and giving babies a healthy start to life.

James Crossley joined Remuera Osteopaths in 2011 having completed his Masters in Osteopathy from Unitec. With a Masters in Sports Science from Loughborough University in the UK and with over 15 years experience in the field of exercise, strenghth and conditioning, James specialises in using exercise in conjunction with osteopathic manual therapy and is particularly interested in sports injury and perfomance.

Remuera Osteopaths is an ACC treatment provider and registered with the Osteopathic Council of New Zealand.
